OVERVIEW

The Sanctuary Chorale was originally the Adult Choir, organized as a singing aggregation with mixed voices (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass) under the direction of Dr. Stirling Culp, Minister of Music in 1979.

In October 2001, Rev. Dr. Trunell D. Felder became Senior Pastor of New Faith. In accordance with Pastor Felder’s vision for the Church, the Music Ministry was reorganized in 2002 to include one mixed voice choir, one female choir, and one male choir. As a result, the Adult Choir’s name was changed to the Sanctuary Chorale.

In accordance with New Faith’s mission of “Living the Faith through Worship, Witness, and Wondrous Works,” the Sanctuary Chorale continues to commit ourselves to various genres of music, including hymns, anthems, spirituals, traditional and contemporary gospel. We are “Choir Ministers” who are inspired by the Holy Spirit. We seek to take our music ministry beyond the walls of New Faith to the community, the nation, and the world.

Our choir rehearsals are held on Thursdays in the Genesis Sanctuary with devotion at 7:15 pm and rehearsal beginning at 7:30 pm.
